Salt Lake Acting Company, Utah’s Premier Professional Contemporary Theatre, announces the cast and creative team for the upcoming World Premiere production of The Robertassey by Kathleen Cahill, originally workshopped in SLAC’s 2018/19 New Play Sounding Series. The show will be Co-Directed by Penelope Caywood and Hannah Keating, and run in our Upstairs Theatre from February 5th to March 2nd, 2025. Tickets are available here.

Join us for this brand-new comedy about grief. Roberta arrives in Dublin but her suitcase—which contains her father’s ashes— doesn’t. Her trip turns into a magical mystery tour and the lost suitcase becomes a symbol of her life. This lyrical and intoxicating comedy tests forgiveness, love, and our trust in the universe.
This amazing cast of new and familiar faces to SLAC’s stage includes Anne Louise Brings (A Year with Frog and Toad; SLACabaret: Down the Rabbit Hole, Stupid F*cking Bird) as Roberta, Darryl Stamp* (Cozy Mystery Theatre, Amerikin, How to Make a Rope Swing) as Hiker/Bartender; and making their main stage SLAC debuts will be Heidi Hackney* as Carol/Fiona/Irish Woman, and the director of our upcoming production of Bat Boy: The Musical, Eric Sciotto* as Garth/Aemon.

Stage Manager).
Joining us as part of SLAC's Professional Theatre Program for Emerging Artists will be Marcia Piña (PTP Run of Show Asst. Stage Manager). The Professional Theatre Program for Emerging Artists supplies opportunities to theatre artisans in multiple disciplines to learn and develop their skills in professional productions. To date, SLAC has created more than 150 production-based paid positions for actors, assistant stage managers, assistant directors, and assistant designers.
