A team full of familiar faces to the SLAC stage, hop on board for an unforgettable ride with the Pigeon in this feather-filled extravaganza based on Mo Willems’ bestselling books. The Pigeon is back and he’s ready to take the stage! With an innovative mix of actors, puppets, and feathers, this production brings the beloved characters to life like never before. You won’t want to miss this bus!
This excellent cast of SLAC all-stars includes Joseph Paul Branca (SLAC's Summer Show: Close Encounters in the Beehive, SLACabaret: Down the Rabbit Hole, Pete the Cat, Saturday's Voyeur) as Pigeon, Wendy Joseph (Elephant & Piggie's: "We Are in a Play!, SLAC's Summer Show: A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, Hairy & Sherri, Four Women Talking About the Man Under the Sheet) as Bus Driver, Marc Nielson (SLAC's Summer Show: Close Encounters in the Beehive) as Business Man, Hot Dog Vendor, Duckling 1, and Airplane Engine, Laurel Morgan (SLAC's Summer Show: Close Encounters in the Beehive, SLAC's Summer Show: A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood) as The Bus, The Bus Engine, The Duckling, 2nd Pigeon, and Bus Driver's Mom, Bryce Romleski (Elephant & Piggie's: "We Are in a Play!", SLAC's Summer Show: Close Encounters in the Beehive, SLAC's Summer Show: A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood) as City Worker, Teenager, and Duckling 2, and Alexa Shaheen (SLAC's Summer Show: Close Encounters in the Beehive) as Little Old Lady, 3rd Pigeon, and Duckling 3. Joining the cast and creative team as part of SLAC's Professional Theatre Program for Emerging Artists will be Matthew Tripp (PTP Asst. Director), and J.S. Peterson (PTP Asst. Set Designer). The Professional Theatre Program for Emerging Artists supplies opportunities to theatre artisans in multiple disciplines to learn and develop their skills in professional productions. To date, SLAC has created more than 150 production-based paid positions for actors, assistant stage managers, assistant directors, and assistant designers.
